That may be nice but it is not being driven so what is the fun of owning something like that just to park it. If you think it's an investment if the money that was spent on the car to buy it was invested properly they would make more money on the investment.

The only way I could own a GNX and have it just sit there as an investment would be if I had way too much money back in 87' (definitely not the case) and bought a pair of them so I could beat the crap out of one of them

It not like a GNX with 7K or even 15K miles is going to be worth significantly less than one with 129 miles. There is one out there with seven miles, so 129 miles will always be at least the "first loser" in any "I have the lowest mile GNX" contest.

Make a custom set of wheels/ tires for it, store the originals and do something that is 30 years overdue.... actually drive it.

If you live in the salt belt, regular driving year round would be worse. I feel bad driving any poor car though winter road salt.

I don't think anyone is talking about "daily driving" a GNX, but trailering a car 4 miles to a carshow is nuts. The ONLY way a car has 129 miles after 30 years is either 1) it sat in a garage for 30 years ot 2) it gets trailered even 4 miles to car shows.

That only makes sense with a factory race car or a car that completely sucks to drive. A GNX is neither.

If it was that big of a concern I'd buy a second cluster and run up the miles... or just disconnect the speedo cable.

They will always be cool cars... but, way cooler when experienced.

There's a guy that i know that lives in the next town over that purchased his GNX new and has over 40k and drives it all the time until the snow starts falling, he does have other cars . He's in his late sixtys one day him and I where talking and this guy walks by and said that car should be stored and not driven. His response, I drive my cars and enjoy them .

He bought it a couple years ago and literally has never driven it more than a few feet.

Now his new Demon, that’s a different story.

I’m gonna try and talk him into letting me get it road worthy because some day he’ll put his foot in it and blow the head-gaskets to the moon.
