Another fine job by Chrysler engineering. Looks like they failed to do the DFMEA
The Astro/Safari shafts don't have a rubber cushion to fail and there is never any issue of them being seized.
Check the link in post # 33 above. The write up tells you everything you need to know (length, sizes, etc.).I heard from Flaming River and here is their reply;

Can you get me the shaft sizes of your column and box/rack?
