Just me Qdub24, but those wheels do absolutely no justice on that malibu. The body and paint looks amazing, but those wheels don't go with the true-flame paint on that car. Is it just me or does that malibu look like it has one of those body wraps on it? Where you wrap the car in a car sized graphic and use a heat gun to apply.

Nall, that's all paint and airbrushing. Dude got some serious money in that car. It ran at a Pinks All Out event too.

Btw nice 71 roadrunner patmc my dad has a 72

Why isn't there a stock look category because half the time I like a stock looking g

Because those are boring looking.

meh ! one persons "boring" is another persons "classic".

I have seen a lot of car fads come and go. Early 80's Candy Paint with huge metal flakes, late 90's ricers with huge wings on the back, 70's drag race wannabe's with rear ends jacked up to the sky on shackles to fit huge tires with little skinnies up front, everything from sunroofs to curb feelers.

All of them make me appreciate a "clean" & "stock" looking car. Would you rather own the car from Corvette Summer or an all orig '78 Corvette. The answer is pretty clear to me, all-orig "looking" to overcome the obvious faults in power and braking when new.

thank you some one who agrees with me. plus who doesnt love a sleeper.
why would you go through all the trouble to make your malibu 3ft of the ground when you could just buy a tahoe.

imo i would rather see a one of a kind lowrider with detailed work rather than just any other g that somebody lifted and threw a big pair of rims on.

I'm torn on mine right now.

It's an original 383/4 speed/ Air conditioned car and has a 3.23 sure grip rear. Numbers matching rust free. I'm going to paint it back to original, curious yellow, and am going to keep most of the original parts (just not the asbestos brake pads it has). Mine had the 14 inch magnums like your dads but at some point those were taken off and I don't have them. So I'm thinking about either putting a 15 inch or the larger 18 inch magnum wheel.

Either way on this project, the numbers drivetrain is coming out and getting put to the side. I have an extra 4 speed but the big decision is whether I want to use a 383 or 440. Luckily I've got both spare engines so all I have to do is decide.

I'm debating on putting in an EZ-EFI injection kit on it as this car may have little bit of a "pro-touring" touch to it. But for the most part it is going to be original. I already spent 1200 on seat covers, headliner, and carpet.

was it worth it? idk how much seat covers cost.
