Our 79 Monte Carlo- Pro Touring Project

We anticipate some auto-x in this cars future so we are going medium-high on the spring rate. The rears will be 124-159 variable to start but that may change after testing. We will have our 3044 1" tubular adjustable out back to tune balance.

The nice thing about the hybrid coil front is how easy it is to change springs. No compressor!

That looks great and I like the spring rate you chose. For the lower A arm from the looks of it it wouldn't be hard to modify that to take a screw in ball joint...

Here are a few pictures of us prepping the rear end and welding on our #3010 relocation brackets as well as welding in the axle tubes. The installation of our #3010 relocation brackets is fairly simple and just requires an angle finder a welder. The angle finder allows you to set the correct orientation so longer or shorter control arms are not needed once the brackets are installed. Once installed you will then have four settings for the rear of the control arm, stock, 2", 2-3/4" and 3-1/2" lower.

Once the rear end is powder coated we can begin installing our Moser goodies 🙂

We have a lot more pictures to share but here is two more for now as we install the suspension on the car.

This is our upper/lower a-arms with 1/2" taller ball joints along with our new Corvette C5 brake conversion kit.

First picture shows the aluminum conversion hub that will come with the kit, ARP studs and the UMI machined conversion bracket. The spindle does require cutting and we will show this soon.

Here is a completed installation picture of the C5 front brakes with our slotted rotors.

hey Ryan, just curious with the c5 brake conversion and bracket. I am highly curious if a 2nd generation 86-90 RX-7 4 piston caliper would fit that bracket

We installed the new TCI TH400 transmission. Well we needed a crossmember so we built one.

Crossmember came out very nice and we are debating whether or not to offer it as a new product? It is tubular and light weight, it offers all kinds of exhaust clearance and tucks against the floor nicely.

The exhaust on the car is what came with it (along with the cut outs). For now we are going to use it and we will replace it later on down the road. Right now we just want to get the car back on the road and ready for its first show.
