Dont know if this has been covered or not but its not a straight swap. Your gonna need motor mounts, dont remember if fuel lines are on the other side or not but if they are just run rubber hose for now. Does the 350 have all the accessories? Fan shroud and fan are required as well. Like what was said above your gonna need to figure out exhaust, if you get the manifolds then great but you gotta get it to the rest of the exhaust some how. None of this is hard just extra parts needed. Good luck.

Yeah its complete with fan shroud hoses everything, I think they have some motor mounts their bringing they have.
They told us they have everything for it for the swap, cause when it was posted what i would need I called em and asked em.
But if they don't have all the parts, how much you think it will run to get all other parts to complete the swap?

Thanks.

no way knowing what parts you'll need so no way telling how much you'll need to spend

haha don't know why I would even ask that I am sorry.
When they come over tonight I will write down anything if I need anything for it and will write on here for you all to see what i will need so I can have some help with getting them.

I want to honestly whole heartily thank everyone for sticking around and helping me.

So they came by, I have to have the fan shroud, radiator, engine mounts, 350sbc engine dressing kit I believe.
I am going to keep my trans in it, if that's the best idea.
Also he said the manifolds on his will fit into mine, but I will need a complete exhaust.
I am going to scrap my engine (or sell the good parts) and sell the 350turbo trans for a little more extra cash.
Also take my starter back and get that money back.
I am going tomorrow to get all these parts and hes going to start taking my engine out whenever is a good time for me.

The transmission currently in the car wont work. Different bell housing bolt pattern. If thats what you meant by leaving your trans in there. Also if it matters to you, you may want to verify the engine is a 350. I mean a running 305 for 200 bucks aint bad but I would verify what you are getting for sure if it matters to you.

So my trans wont work with the new engine at all, no way to make it fit at all?
But how also can I check to verify that it is a true 350?

My mid is kind of thinking, does anyone think putting a Chevy into a Olds is wrong?
I seen a lot of people on here talking about no a/c and no one want's a car without it, uhm its wrong to put Chevy into Olds.
I always wanted to keep the car all original and keep everything in it all Olds.

I know its MY CAR but I love to have a all Olds car and love to be appreciated by the older generation olds owners.
I was wondering peoples opinions on this whole swap.

I am still doing it for the simple fact I need one asap and this is the cheapest, but was just wondering what you all think about disrespecting the olds (in a way)

Well, GM built these cars with "corporate" engines, which were engines taken from all the GM brands for universal use, so IMO, it doesn't matter. For example, the V6 in your Olds is actually a Buick engine. The only "wrong" engine swap would be if you put in anything other than a GM.

EDIT: That knocking sounds horrible! The last engine I heard that sounded like that was a 4.0L in my wife's friend's Cherokee. She bought it that way. I told her I didn't think it would last long, but other people told her it was "normal for a Jeep 4.0L", so she drove it anyway. It gave up the ghost a week later.
