checking his engine.....the other thing you want to make sure of what parts your going to need to do the conversion in your car if your going to do it..ie the exhaust, fan shroud and other things

Okay how can I check all that, I hope this guy could possibly tell me.
I am not to big on engines, as yo can tell, lol.

I don't know if the exhaust manifolds on a 350 line up with your y pipe and I know the shroud for a v8 is shorter then a v6...I don't know about the electrical...

Holy sh*t, a RUNNING 350 and TH350 for 200? BUY THAT. You want a game plan? Do this

Buy the 350 for 200$.

Keep your 200R4 and sell the turbo 350, this will supply you with some of the money back that it's going to cost to install this 350.

you'll likely need motor mounts, some exhaust work, probably some wiring adjustments and more than likely some throttle linkage parts.

That 200R4 in your car now, SHOULD bolt up to that 350 with no problems.

The reason im telling you to keep the 200R4 is, A. overdrive, B. I don't think a 350 for 200$ is going to be cranking crazy amounts of power, not enough to toast that 200 anyways, and C. you won't have to go shopping for a different crossmember/ trans mount / driveshaft.

And if you play your cards right, you can get between 150-200 for that Th350. That almost pays for the engine.

When it's all said and done, you'll have a die hard good old chevy 350 that won't let you down, if you treat it right. AND you'll still retain high teens/ low twenty in the fuel economy because you still have an overdrive trans.

Okay cool, these guys said they would put it in for an extra 200 so I am going to see if they all know.

That's the thing they said they will put it in for an extra 200$.
So I will ask them to just keep the trans in and give me the old trans and I will sell that make my money back well some of it.
I will also ask if they can do everything for me so i don't have to worry about anything on my end.
But they say they have done swaps before and they have a gigantic 4 door garage so I know they have all the equipment and tools, for a 200 extra charge to put it in for me still isn't bad at all.

So I am going to buy this today and have them swap everything out and give me the 350 trans and just sell it.

Thanks so much for this, so what everyone thinks is I should buy it tonight and just get this swap over with asap?

Yes do the swap, don't wait on it or you might lose it. If you're inexperienced and they are willing to do the swap for 200$, hands down go for it. In fact i'd be already on the phone if i where you.

Believe me, you'll LOVE the difference between the 3.8 and that chevy 5.7 .

Yeah i already called them their coming out in a little while, their actually going to bring all their stuff here so i don't have to move my car and they will do it in my garage.
Which gives me the world in assurance, from my past experience with mechanics.

But yeah I already called them they said it will take about a day or so, they also are going to let me pay them 200 now and 200 when i get paid on the 8th.
So in a nutshell this is the best possible deal I could ever run into.

Good, glad you got it worked out. Just don't back out and take some other option, sounds like you've got a good deal, stick with it.

Good luck.

No way for sure, No backing out now.
I am wanting and always wanted a 350 and for cheap now I got one for a dream deal I am sticking with it.

Thanks so much, I will give you all a update when its done and running again.

Dont know if this has been covered or not but its not a straight swap. Your gonna need motor mounts, dont remember if fuel lines are on the other side or not but if they are just run rubber hose for now. Does the 350 have all the accessories? Fan shroud and fan are required as well. Like what was said above your gonna need to figure out exhaust, if you get the manifolds then great but you gotta get it to the rest of the exhaust some how. None of this is hard just extra parts needed. Good luck.
