When I was looking for them months ago, I remember hearing that Hawks was going to reproduce them, but they weren't available yet.
Haven't done a damn thing to the car, other than wash it a few times. Been trying out different car shows and cruise ins that we haven't been to before. Been enjoyable to get it out and drive it.
Good. Still some smaller issues to iron out. Really need to have it tuned, get rid of a few annoying things like a surge under very light throttle cruising. Need to check my header to head gaskets. Think I might have one starting to go, or maybe a bolt has loosened up a little. Just a little exhaust tick when cold.
Usually what I've done is after a few heat cycles, loosen one header bolt at a time and do a re torque.
Isn't that the goal? There's more than one member on here that would love to take your Malibu for a drive!
Yes it is, but I feel like I should be doing more to it. Things are not always as they seem on the the Ole internet. She's not as perfect as everyone thinks. I've got a rust bubble showing thru on the outside of the passenger side door, more squeaks and groans than a 90 year old man, and it seems as though it'll never be done. But frankly I'm tired of working on it for the moment so I'll just deal with them until I get some more motivation.
I think this coming winter instead of upgrading things, instead I'll iron out some of these smaller issues that are minor annoyances. It'll make it much more enjoyable to drive and use. We'll see how this plan works out. 🤣
Glad you're enjoying it, that's what summers are for. I hope you didn't catch AIDS from that blue 4x4 Lambo in the background. Might wanna go get tested just to be safe.
Our cars are never done and we all feel like we should be doing more to them. But what do we do?, we stop for a while and enjoy them. That is the whole reason why we do what we do. Enjoy Your Ride!
