I think it looks awesome! I know very little about turbo systems, so I can't comment on the O2 placement. I would think everything should be downstream...... But, then again, I don't know for sure.
There's a good way for you to learn about boost....force some air into the Pig, 😉!!I think it looks awesome! I know very little about turbo systems, so I can't comment on the O2 placement. I would think everything should be downstream...... But, then again, I don't know for sure.
Yep, 3/8" line should work just fine! I will be supplying the rails of my LS with 3/8", except I'm running AN line. However, the main feed from the tank is -8 (1/2") splitting to the rails which is good for north of 500hp.I wish I could help. I'm a N/A guy so I'd be talking out of my hat.
I would think a 3/8" fuel line would be plenty for supply. We are using a 3/8 line to supply my brother's 6.0 LSX in his Camaro. The Corvette fuel filter/pressure regulator we are using to provide a return is 3/8 so I'm thinking it should support 400-450 HP. Someone chime in if you think I'm all wet on this.
The work looks great Zach. It does look crowded. Again, my hat's off to you for doing something different. I'm looking forward to when you have it running and have the bugs ironed out.
Thank you guys. I was hoping I could use the existing lines.Yep, 3/8" line should work just fine! I will be supplying the rails of my LS with 3/8", except I'm running AN line. However, the main feed from the tank is -8 (1/2") splitting to the rails which is good for north of 500hp.
Zach, your return line will be sufficient as well.
I was hoping you would chime in. Thank you. I think I am going to put the Wb gauge in the header for now and may change it later. Don't want to weld on my ceramic coated down pipe. As for the red carb hat and up pipe. I thought about doing that, but I have seen a few Grand National's they did that too, and I don't really like it. I will flirt with the idea some more though.GNs have gone plenty fast on a stock 3/8" fuel line.
O2 placement? First how far down stream does the Sniper system require the WB02? Start there. As for your gauge (guessing WB02 also) throw it way down stream. In my Buick it was down where the stock cat was located. Heat is bad for the sensors (NB02s are less sensitive).
Just make certain they are accessible since many systems require "free air" calibration and recalibration to adjust for sensor wear. And FFS make certain you have no pre-sensor leaks - it will play havoc on your system when it is in closed loop.
Lastly, I couldn't hit the like button fast enough because that polished unit looks so nice on there (and I wouldn't touch the carb hat... unless you are painting it red like the stocker (I'd do the up-pipe in red too)).
I don't really know much about turboing an engine either. I read a lot, forget, and read about it all again. If I wanted the 80's vibe I would have air shocks and Crager SS wheels sticking out three inches from the car. I don't like the red and blue anodized fitting look.OOOOOOOOOOOOOH! Anodized red! It is the 80s, afterall!
