I feel the experiment should be a fun one. I'd look at something like this: https://www.holley.com/products/fue..._injection/qfi_4bbl_tbi_kits/parts/QFI-500BDM

I am not certain if you have an Odd or Even Fire V6 - because that system will not support Odd Fire.
Even fire. Odd fire stopped in 77. Odd high port stopped in 79. That Holly system I think would be a better route, but twice the price. The Fitech has the ability to boost retard timing, but no one seems to know how to make it work. I have not come up with a way to add a knock gauge yet. That is a nother reason I like the J&L box.

If you are really into it just swap a 97-05, or 88-90 GM 3800 spark system onto the car. Just have to trigger the cam and crank sensors. Sensors can be sourced off a GN or OBD1 lesabre.

Then you have full boost reference and computerized spark control.

That sounds like a cheaper option. I do not know how to make that all work. Kind of new to me. I pondered on using a 87 cam position sensor. That would index the cylinders.

I didn't not find any time all weekend to mess with the car, but I found some time tonight. I took the fuel pump off and put a block off plate on. I took the intake manifold off and the other valve cover. I can't believe how clean this engine is.

I lade the new intake and valve covers on just for fun. I wanted to see what it will look like.

Don't worry you will not see much of the dirty engine block when I am done. Waiting on my valve seals to show up. Should be here tomorrow. It will start to get more interesting from now foward. Next things I plan to do. Change valve seals and springs. I am going to do it with the heads on the engine. This will be a new one for me. I do have a valve spring compressor tool that is made for this. I need to mock up the passenger side header and turbo so I can mark the block for the turbo drain tube. Then drill and tap the hole. Then it is time to put this sucker together.

I mocked up the right header and turbo so I could mark the turbo drain hole location.

I was curious if my down pipe is going to fit. So I mocked that up too.

Fits good! Then I through some other parts on to get a feel of what it will look like.

Man I would pay an amount of money to have someone make me a set of longer GN covers to bolt onto a SBB 350. They look great in blue!

You probably could find a set of Holly valve covers for a 350. The problem with those is it says Holly on them. I thought about a set of those and grinding the name off and putting a Buick turbo emblem on the flats. I decided to go the route I did and am happy with them.
