Is the fan, water pump, and harmonic balancer the only things I remove to get to the timing chain cover ?

The passenger side bottom timing cover mounting bolt hole has a broken stud in it...been fighting with trying to get a new bolt in it since the day before yesterday, and after just checking it, there is a broken stud in the hole keeping me from installing the new bolt...

Is it a big deal ?

Should I extract it or extra tighten the remaining bolts installed ?

With the dowel pin holes on the timing cover, can I drill one of those slightly bigger to more easily slide over one of these dowel pins ?

With the oil pan/timing cover gasket in place correctly, I'm able to line everything up but doesn't seat down all the way to the engine block because of one side dowel pin...

I've tried pushing it in but the timing cover hole seems to be a bit smaller than the dowel pin, keeping the timing cover from seating all the way down...

I can place the first and only the first dowel pin in correctly from either side, but the second attempt at the second dowel pin, it doesn't slide in, allowing the timing cover to seat in correctly.

You can try these. Be sure to center punch the bolt and use a reverse thread drill bit. Kind of stinks that the gasket is in place, because you’re probably going to damage it. Be sure to cover up the oil pan so no metal chips get in there.
