They're towards the back...There are no threads left in there that I can see.
Why does the number of posts and pages validate my will to do this job ? It doesn't...400 comments. 40 pages. Have you ever considered a different hobby ? 😕
Ive always said if working on old cars was easy everyone would be doing it.
Thank you 😎👍🏾🎯💯Gotts say you are trying to figure this out and do it the right way possible for the moment, lot's of us have forgotten those days of "just make it to work so I can go to work Monday" and it shows in some of the comments. Keep moving forward with the positive and trying to learn from a crummy situation to be able to rectify it in the future when time and money allow.

At the beginning of all this I told you to take a measurement of the gap between the timing cover & the balancer. Use that measurement to determine where you're @ vs. where it was before taking it apart:Is this on all the way or should I keep pushing it in ?
Turns are getting harder, but it hasn't stopped yet...

I guess I missed it, Why is there a need to replace the timing tab w/something different?
Also, take the time to measure the dimension between the balancer & timing cover as it currently sits. You want to make sure you get it seated where it was when you put things back together. Take a pic or 2 of the timing chain & gears for reference as well. Focus on where the timing 'dots' are on each of the gears. These can't be disturbed. If anything is moved, you're going to have to go through other procedures that can be avoided.
There was a 3/8 gap between the timing cover and the old balancer...At the beginning of all this I told you to take a measurement of the gap between the timing cover & the balancer. Use that measurement to determine where you're @ vs. where it was before taking it apart:
