Is the fan, water pump, and harmonic balancer the only things I remove to get to the timing chain cover ?

I cleaned the fuel pump block off plate, removed the ground cable from it and tightened down the bolts all the way down...the bottom bolts were really loose...

Where specifically on the front of the right head ?

I don't see where to bolt it in that area with the serpentine belt setup ..
You can bolt the ground anywhere where there is good metal, like the frame or alternator bracket. Either way, don’t worry, run that sbc and enjoy that sh*t haha.

Lol look im just as eager...Gotta bolt this ground down to start it up !

The alternator bracket is too far for my ground wire to reach.

How about the bracket on the right/passenger side closer to my ground wire ?

The backside of this A/C Compressor on the bracket looks like a good spot...

Well you didn't mention any electrical issues prior so I would just put it back where it was and if you want to move it make a new ground that is the proper length to reach the new location and probably upgrade to a larger gauge at that time.

Wouldn't that mean there isn't a gasket behind it if I'm able to get a good ground connection, or the gasket is thin enough to get a connection through it ?

The gasket doesn't really matter, the 4 bolts holding the plate on make contact with the block and create the path for the circuit.

Edit; While not an ideal place to have it if you're running heavy amperage (air ride, big sound system, etc.) It will get you moving again.
