Why is it so hard to tell them we want to spend the money we work so hard for?

Right??? Yesterday evening she straight looked at me and said "nope". Excuse me, this is gonna be war because it's spoda stimulate the economy. Obviously I'll use it for bills until her unemployment starts rolling in, but I told her once that happens I'm setting some aside to get this rearend done lol.
My argument is that I'm trying to make the car safer 😉.

I’ve bought all new steering and suspension components to make my 82 GN frame a roller once it’s cleaned and painted. Also bought a set of new center caps and bought a nice set of the correct 82 wheels. Also bought some other items but really trying to get the ball rolling on this project

Rock Auto: Goodmark Rear Bumper, headlight bezels, both side marker lights, left hand bumper light.

eBay: th350 detent rod thing, gbodyparts revised t type center caps, rear aluminum bumper supports (my shocks are fubar)

summit: new trans pan, gasket and bolts (shinyyyyyy), ca1952 kickdown cable (mine melted :\ better not be a ****in 1951 like all the parts stores have in the 1952 box), better gauges that don't have seemingly random graduations between numbers, and lastly, weld in o2 bung and accompanying plug.

About 850-900 for all that. Putting them corona dollars to good use.

This is why I told my ex that we will have 1 joint account that we deposit the money to pay our expenses and for everything else we keep our own seperate accounts. Also since I started earning 6 figure salary I stopped telling my girlfriends exactly how much I make. Also never been married so take that for what you will.

Been through good times, really lean times (2009-10), and progressively better times since...

All I have ever have to say is: it's either cars or bars.

She knows where to find me and can see what our money goes into. Budgets, must be respected however - I actually have a savings account dedicated for the Hellcat's pricey clutch replacement.

Got off work a couple hours early yesterday, so I went to the wrecking yard and picked up a pair of remote mirrors off of an '86 Monte.
I am following a thread here about converting to power mirrors. I will see what I can do with these.

As a plus, these are a maroon color, not obnoxiously far off of the brown of the Caballero. Never know though, I might paint them black.

Jordan, MrSony, of Des Moines, Why did you only buy 1 headlamp?, or are you only showing one? it is best to replace headlights in pairs, but keep an old one around for emergency replacement. A pretty neat batch of parts and tools otherwise.

Yes, I have the gaskets. I have not checked yet how well they will fit on the Caballero body lines.
