Yes , you are correct. They mount forward of the originals by a couple of inches. I believe someone in the thread about power mirror conversions mentioned that also, but I did not want to let these disappear, so I grabbed them. Another suggestion from the power mirror thread was using mirrors from a Camaro, or from a Corvette.I believe those style mirrors were in a different location than the normal bullet mirrors.
Its been a while so i am not sure.
If you have the bullit style mounted in the factory location you will have to weld up your existing holes and drill new ones for the new mirror farther forward and also add a reinforcement plate on the inside to support the mirror,Yes , you are correct. Thank you for the reinforcement suggestion. I knew that if I use these mirrors, I would need to drill new holes and patch the old.If you have the bullit style mounted in the factory location you will have to weld up your existing holes and drill new ones for the new mirror farther forward and also add a reinforcement plate on the inside to support the mirror,

I searched threads that I have responded to, to find the original beginning of the thread about power mirrors. It was started by 88AZSS on Mar 11, 2020. The thread title is "Power Mirror Upgrade" Good info, and several interesting comments, for anybody interested in power mirrors.Yes , you are correct. I bought a pair of the bumper mounted marker lights last year. Driver's side got water in it, washed it out and now it's dull and faded inside. $38 ain't nothing for a new one. I have a dingy passenger one now that I think about it, so now I'll have a new pair and a crappy pair. 😀Jordan, MrSony, of Des Moines, Why did you only buy 1 headlamp?, or are you only showing one? it is best to replace headlights in pairs, but keep an old one around for emergency replacement. A pretty neat batch of parts and tools otherwise.
