Measure that plastic nut & see what the width is?

Did a few things today:

Put the new water pump back on:

Put a double spring on the throttle:

I think I'm going to change where it mounts to. But at least it's on there for now

Mounted the transmission cooler. Not plumbed in yet:

I had to remove the a/c condenser to mount the cooler. And since that jackass mechanic decided to remove most of my a/c, I didn't need it anyway. But I had some trouble removing the fan shroud. 2 of the bolts wouldn't come out (clips are broken I think). So I had to do a bit of breaking.

2nd bolt from the left was tight down, so I had to break it around the bolt.

Far bolt to the right was fairly loose, but couldn't be backed out any more. It was already cracked, so I just enlarged the crack so I could slide it off.

Normally I wouldn't have done this. But the shroud was already damaged from a plastic flex fan blowing apart a few years ago.

Put in some new headlights. Sylvania's best bulbs.

And when I took the grill out, one screw just kinda fell out. and there was another just laying on the bumper (I'm lucky I didn't lose it lol). I'm missing 2 of these clips:

Anyone know if these are still available?

Tomorrow I hope to plumb the cooler in, and put everything back together under the hood.

I used it to pick up the Grandson at school today. I wanted the AC on and it was weak, so it's back to the sniffer again. I think my schreader valves are leaking.

her's aren't leaking...

Thanks to Mark reminding the less than accurate reading the stock gauges give us I change the stock oil and temp gauges for some VDO guages and sender units. Now I'm finally getting the correct readings.. 🙂

Today my son and I changed my exhaust to flowmaster super 40 they sound great.

Spent the afternoon trying to get some fittings to put the aftermarket cooler in with no luck. So I went home and put everything back together and took it for a cruise.

Took the Cutlass to the transmission shop to fix the leak, which turned out to be many lol. I have had a few people look at the trans with no luck of tracking down the exact problem. Sometime you have to bite the bullet and go to the pros who know their stuff... Luckily I brought it there because they found my actuator lever for the kick down cable was broken off. I have wondered why my car shifted so weird, thought the cable wasn't adjusted properly. I have not hit fourth gear in this car since I have owned it,just wastes gas and doesn't kick down. Now the car is fast! About freakin' time! No more huge trans period stains lol🙂

I started looking for replacement for the VDO oil pressure and water temp gauges I just installed. They are alot more accurate than the stock gauges but the design of the stock gauges are much better than these 2 1/16" gauges. The stock gauges are much easier to read.

I know the fellling man...paid this sorry *ss shot to rebuild my transmission, that they said was toast. Which resulted in me spending a total of $750.00 on a new transmission that he stated" he resealed and put a new pump in that he didn't had my cousin redo my gaskets while at work and ******* changed nothing. He literally pulled me a junk yard bop th350 and just installed it!

wash it
