What did you do to your G-Body today? [2011-2018]

That rear seat looks sweet back there. Are you gonna try the fronts too? I did the opposite, I swapped in BMW fronts but now I need to get the rear to match
I've got a set of '05 GTO buckets waiting to go in front. That's been done before. The cost of professional upholstery services will slow me down but I'd rather complete the back first because I've never heard of this swap before.

The car came this way when I bought it but the clear was oxidizing everywhere. Lots of buffing and wet sanding the clear got it this way.

Did a few things today:

Put the new water pump back on:

Put a double spring on the throttle:

I think I'm going to change where it mounts to. But at least it's on there for now

Mounted the transmission cooler. Not plumbed in yet:

I had to remove the a/c condenser to mount the cooler. And since that jackass mechanic decided to remove most of my a/c, I didn't need it anyway. But I had some trouble removing the fan shroud. 2 of the bolts wouldn't come out (clips are broken I think). So I had to do a bit of breaking.

2nd bolt from the left was tight down, so I had to break it around the bolt.

Far bolt to the right was fairly loose, but couldn't be backed out any more. It was already cracked, so I just enlarged the crack so I could slide it off.

Normally I wouldn't have done this. But the shroud was already damaged from a plastic flex fan blowing apart a few years ago.

Put in some new headlights. Sylvania's best bulbs.

And when I took the grill out, one screw just kinda fell out. and there was another just laying on the bumper (I'm lucky I didn't lose it lol). I'm missing 2 of these clips:

Anyone know if these are still available?

Tomorrow I hope to plumb the cooler in, and put everything back together under the hood.

I sold my G-Body today... 🙂 ... :? ... 😢 ...
Don't know the story, but it sounds like it sucks.....sorry, man.

It was time to move on. I had been sitting on it for 9 years, owned it for 12. Always had intentions of fixing it up since it was my first car but never got around to it. I know myself good enough to know that once I did start fixing it up it would have been a slippery slope and an insane money pit because of my perfectionism. Even if the kid doesn't have the same taste in modificatins as me he will enjoy it more than I did sitting in a storage unit. Let it get back on the road like it should be.

reinstalled my LM1 Windband O2 sencer. i had in it when i was runing iron manafolds. but now i have headers. now i can get some tunning done.

I used it to pick up the Grandson at school today. I wanted the AC on and it was weak, so it's back to the sniffer again. I think my schreader valves are leaking.
