What did you do to your G-Body today? [2011-2018]

Whats the reason for putting vette rearend in it, other than to do it and be different? any gains? Did it allow you to do something you otherwise couldn't?

Looks great! what gear? would the GNX flares fit a Gbody cutlass? anybody ever put them on a Gbody Cutlass? if so, can somebody post pics.

There were a few reasons for installing the Vette rear.

1: To be different was a factor
2: Disc brakes
3: Handling improvements
4: Better Rim options.
5: Wider stance
6: Wide tires/rims without narrowing frame and adding tubs

Gains are in cornering and straight line acceleration. With Independent rear end I plant both tires equally and no body/frame twist..


I'm not sure on fitment on a Cutlass because all the G-bodies had slightly different arch and body lines

I went to the Muncie U-pull in Kansas City Ks and found some little pieces I was missing.

If anyone is in the are I would highly recomend checking it out. Lots of G bodies in the yard most I've ever seen in one yard.

Ordered some more parts on E-Bay that I'm missing, priced other stuff also on Gbodyparts.com, and took her to a car cruise and even sponsored a trophy. Was a fun day yesterday. Not much going on car wise today - most events have been cancelled due to the heat wave and impending severe storm threat. Tomorrow there is a cruise that we hope to make.

Super hot here, but I did say in my thread that I would start working on the wagon again in July. Sooo.... I got out and dug all the clear RTV and extra ribbon tape out of the RR wagon glass. Getting ready to take it out for metal repair. But, I was sweating so bad after I dug it all out, I drank a 12 pack and got in my pool. 😀

Sold the leather seats to another forum member that came with the car, and got some parts in the mail I ordered on Ebay. After a little more time soaking in the pool we are going to install them!
