Fixed my Q-jet today. It wouldn't fast idle at all when I start up. Turned out the fast idle cam was cockeyed. I shimmed it so it couldn't wobble around and now it is dead on. See topic "33 year old choke" http://gbodyforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=48970&p=415248#p415248

got the "prototype" grill mocked up for my 84 monte carlo "CLS".now i can order new pieces and cut accordingly :rofl

incorporated a fold out cup holder and cubby insert from a 02 grand prix,along with lid into a monte/elco factory console.still in the resin fill/mock up stage,i still have to smooth out the grain and add some carbon fiber accenting :wink: im also gonna be using the breadbox,that will house my ipod and airbag switches.

went and saw Greg in Opie in Newport Tennessee traded my euro front for 1984 header set, got all my hard top conversion parts for 60 bucks (one heck of a deal!), also picked up a clutch fan and alternator brackets for Chevy 350 in the 63 C 10

I started playing around with my push rod length checkers so I can finally order some push rods for the 496. Stock lengths are 9.250 and 8.280, I came up with 9.220 and 8.220 which is kinda weird but I got a good pattern so whatever. I will be contacting Comp next week to get an order placed. After that the internals are complete! Just need power steering brackets, pulleys and my quadrajet gone through and it will be time to break it in!
