What did you do to your G-Body today? [2011-2018]

Not a G-body, but it is definitely a cousin to a G-body....

Seemed like decent heart transplant candidate for a few hundred bucks. Minus the motor and trans.

I figure it will end up with a Vortec 350 another 4L60E with a Corvette 2-4 servo and stuff a small stall an LT4 cam.

I scored some 2 inch drop spindles and blocks, bet it will look cool with the 2001 Camaro SS wheels.

looks decent. Anything around here that vintage is typically rotten. Wonder why they mis-matched the wheels ?

Gonna drive my car in reverse for four blocks to start the trans swap.

He wanted to keep the wheels that were on it when I bought it (14 inch Pontiac rallys), I had a couple of S10 wheels and bought a set of GMC wheels for $50 on craigslist, so they would all be inflated. I didn't complain, it was $200.

And if it ever craps out you have an on hand steering box and disc brake donor 🙂

Got my transmission in the hard way. Took the trans out by itself from under the car. Screw that. I'm never doing that again. Everything about that process sucked so much *ss. idk how or why people prefer that way. Engine and trans out as one, even if only one needs serviced from now on.

Yeah that method sucks for sure! Best way is having the car up high enough to use a trans jack, but I understand doing it the way you did it...been there plenty of tmes over the years!
Wasn't till this year when we started the resto of my dad's 90 jeep yj sbc swap that we had a trans jack. He showed up with it one day....like WTF, where was that thing when i needed it!

Yeah. We all wish we got a lift and a heated garage for Christmas. But you do what you gotta do with what you have.
