I haven't tried my carb out yet, my car is at my son't place about a 40 minute ride from here and I haven't been able to get out of work early enough to make the trip worthwhile. So to make me feel better I ordered one of these today, it has o rings so Ribbedroof will be happy...😀

Wiring! Simple stuff to begin with. Tucked my starter wires back away from the headers and secured them too the back of the head. Installed motor, chassis, and battery grounds. Wired up my 2004R conversion converter lockup kit and mounted the switch. Need to finish my electric fan conversion next!

After a long week of research, talking to some well known cam companies, i pulled the trigger on a bumpstick for my LS swap. Better yet, free shipping and a $40 discount sure helped. Hope to have this fresh grind next week woohoo. I will update my build thread as stuff rolls in!

Might i edit and add! A huge shout out to Jared (TEXAS82GP) for aiding in some much needed LS knowledge to get me on the right track for a cam decision. I'm new to the LS world but hope to have it somewhat mastered when my motor gets finished!

Sanded the blank out of my passenger inner fender. I didn't intend to paint either one but my brother was helping me and made some repairs to the driver with some black JB Weld Plastic Bond. He got greedy and started sanding it and I soon realized I was going to paint both. I cut off some unneeded protrusions. The worst stuff I sanded with 80. Then I sanded the whole thing with 220. Then went over it with 400. Then Duplicolor prep spray and a micro fiber. Then Bulldog adhesion promoter. Then Krylon Fusion satin black. I'm a little disappointed with the results. Its sand scratch city. Once its bolted in and has the coolant tank on it and the battery on it, it will look ok. It is what it is. Its going in. Its a cruiser. Its better than it was. Tomorrow night we are going to make some more repairs to the driver. I don't like this particular type of JB Weld for these repairs. It doesn't stick well and is not strong. I bought it because it is black and I didn't want to paint these things.

Bought another 800cfm 350 Buick qjet for 80 bucks off ebay on Monday. This one is remarkably clean, the underside is clean enough to eat off of, normally on used qjets their black as night due to running overly rich. It may have been rebuilt at one point or another, I haven't taken it apart yet. Guy said it was a core exchange from like 10 years ago. The throttle sticks open sometimes, and I think the air doors need realigned, but I'm gonna do that anyways along with a rebuild kit before I put it on my 350. Oh, also got my broke *ss a part time job. $10.00 cutting meat at Fareway, a "mom and pop" type grocery chain we have in the midwest. If all goes well, my regal will be up and running for the 4th time by my 19th birthday in September. Then, maybe next year HotRod Power Tour: 2018.
