IMG_4237[1].JPG Well, been driving mine every couple days and lots of stuff needs attention but nothing is in emergency status. I've been over and over the gotta sell this thing because I don't have a lot of room or money for it but sh*t, even tho the car is far from perfect or any where near done for that matter, when I drive it I just get that feel good all over thing going and the enthusiasm returns. When that happens, it's like lookin at an ugly girl who just needs a hot dress to cinch the deal, lol.
I centered my steering wheel, made a list of to-do's and moved on to tuning the stereo system when the oddest thing happened....

I'm 48, so I'm somewhat past the hell on wheels phase of my life....I still like to cruise with the tunes up but don't think everybody needs to hear it.
At any rate, I'm working on interior sound, sans exterior sound, and had just done a walk around the car and considered it to be pretty mellow. Sitting inside the car doing a little tweaking when I catch some movement on the passenger side. I look up and here is a nasty looking, obviously unhappy old lady saying something, hands all about,,,,,
I try to turn down the stereo but realize it's in tune mode, so I'm scrambling to fix the situation while this woman is saying something that I can't hear a word of from inside the car. As she is walking away, hands all aflutter, I'm still struggling with what the hell I'm doing (I've had at least a couple Friday beers). Finally get the volume down and she's gone.....lol....wtf?
Now....I'm sitting here wondering if I have a hearing problem because I swear to.....when I cranked it and walked around outside the car it was not loud at all....like a lawnmower would be way louder than the sound of my car at that point I figured. Inside the car was loud as sh*t....but I figured I had it pretty well tuned. Apparently she didn't agree-either that or she was unhappy that we missed some unknown community function or something. I couldn't hear a bloody word she said while I was inside the car lol.
So much for trying to commit to common courtesy- no good deed goes in-punished. FML

Yeah, I feel for ya, I WAS just going to add an amp to the a new set of 6x9s in back and put a really good set of 3.5s in the dash off the head power up front. But, just because my headliner came loose and draped down on my head while I was sitting in the car making varoom noises, I have now completely gutted the interior, dynamatting everything, putting in a new head unit, new lower door panels for another set of speakers [components no doubt], adding a 2nd amp for those of course, and a 10" powered sub. Though it will not be a bumper buzzer as I've never understood the appeal of that, I am positive the wife will hear mine as the total wattage rating will now be 950W.

But then I realize that the reason I never get done-done with my product build is . . .
BECAUSE I KEEP CHANGING THE PRODUCT REQUIREMENTS!

Just don't give up though. I'm not . . .

I'm terrible at making up my mind, which makes it hard to focus, which makes it hard to make up my mind and on and on it goes....
I here that! Then someone else makes a suggestion and boom the project takes a turn just look at my 87 Cutlass I get it almost to body work and take it back apart lol it won't end

I'm there too. I slammed this car back together after it sat in pieces for years. I realized that if I kept waiting for funds I'd never get it back together and I really wanted to be behind the wheel again. It was important to get a solid frame under it and at least that part is there now.
Going forward, nothing will be coming apart that I'm not prepared to complete immediately.
My list of to-do's is hella long but I suppose there will always be a list-just the nature of the hobby.
