But wait, it gets even better....buy a newer car that needs repairs, say an engine. Even with a signed notarized title with the actual purchase price, you will pay the state-determined excise (sales) tax, regardless of condition. I guess too many people were lying too much on sale price declarations, so the state decided that if the sale price was outside their range, you would pay their number. :wtf:

I think a bunch of our lawmakers went to school in Jersey. :blam:

I thought OK was a super conservative state?!?!?!!?!?

WTF is with all the BS laws?!!??!!?

Texas went that way, too. I paid $1,300 for a miata... even printed out the Craigslist ad asking $1,300 and they charged me sales tax on $2,100.

You can get the car appraised by a certified appraiser (he can read the Craigslist ad and certify the car is only worth $1,300), but this is way beyond the tax offices pay grade. The $800 valuation difference was $70 in taxes so it wasn't worth protesting.

The Yankees that move down here need to find work somewhere. You can only sell so many gold chains. Conservatives are too busy working to go into government so slipnfall lawyers fill the voids.

My dual snorkel CAI out of Spectre, Airaid, and custom made components is going to work.

Had to add a 1/2" spacer to Spectre's air box, still some tweaking to do on my heat deflector covers for the AirAid conicals in both front corners, and moving the gas fume canister from the PS to the DS but, other than that, and everything else in my build thread, I'm surprised I ain't driving it yet . . . I think between the larger triangular hole in the inner fender and those large oval holes on either side of the radiator, I'll be able to suck in plenty of cool air.

Sorry, still haven't cleaned the engine yet for web presentation . . . you'll just have to use your imagination for now!

Pretty soon . . .
