Got a quart of oil to top off the motor. It doesn't burn a lick of oil, but the copper line was leaking at the T on the motor. Cut that off a while ago, and fixed it. Only recently got around to getting a quart. Life gets in the way of the simplest things sometimes. Spent the day at the hospital with my mom and grandparents, just a checkup for grandpa. Took way longer than necessary, but he's doing good, or as good as one with COPD can be. Now about to go out and prep, paint, and install the jounce bars as well as my GN front sway bar with new bushings.
can't do anything about it, right now anyway. No money for bushings, nor the space to have the car immobile for that long. Maybe later this summer I'll address the bushing situation.
like I posted in your thread that bolt moving up and down means the cage for the anchor nut is busted and that is usually caused by rust.

Today on my lunch break I installed a set of aluminum brake drums and adjusted the brakes . I still had no brake fluid to the rear cylinders. I figured the combination valve must have tripped. Then it dawned on me that the valve probably had been tripped for quite awhile. I remembered when I was taking the car apart that the rear brakes and cylinders were a mess.i had to remove the brakes to release the emergency brake cables and it was apparent that the shoes or cylinders hadn’t moved in awhile.
Since I have no wiring hooked up ,much less a battery, I tested the brake switch with an ohmmeter and confirmed the switch was tripped. I googled how to reset and apparently there is plenty of different ways to go about this.
Here’s what I did and I was able to reset the valve. I placed tubes on my front caliper bleeders and opened them up one turn. The tubes drained through holes in a soda bottle. I made sure the rear bleeders were closed. I pressed the brake pedal to the floor. Released the pedal. I waited a minute for the fronts to gravity feed and closed the bleeders. Checked the valve and no ground . I went to the driver rear cylinder and opened the bleeder . Within two minutes I had fluid running out. Went to the passenger side and opened it up and waited for about five minutes. Nothing! Dang! So I put the ohmmeter back on the combination valve and it had tripped. Shoot! I went and did the front brake thing again and checked combination valve switch again. It had reset. Opened up the passenger rear bleeder and fluid! Closed it and went back to driver rear and opened it. Fluid! Closed it and did the same on both fronts . Fluid! Checked the pedal and it is up and firm. Another thing off the list..Getting closer everyday to put this thing on the road..
