Put together a new vacuum line for my HVAC after collecting a bunch of vacuum connectors from the junkyards. The Dorman brand connectors are horrible quality that split in a few days, pretty sad old 30 year old connectors ars better than brand new ones.

Finally got around to rebuilding my spare ebay find 17058241 (800cm '78 350 Buick) qjet. Couldn't find my damn dremel bits so the throttle shaft bushings will have to wait. Carb is tight enough, no noticeable slop in the primary shaft, but I'll have to see how it runs. Insides all done, did the APT accesability mod with a kit from JET Performance (bought from summit) and took another look at my exhaust. As much as I don't want it to be so, the m80 cherries gotta go. I have a pair of Thrush Welded center in offset out mufflers to spread the tailpipes out to where they need to be. I mean, I can always add more cherries in front of them, I have 8 feet of bare pipe to work with...

I also gotta install some power steering lines this weekend. I have a half day off work this Friday to get my car cleaned up for GoodGuys on Saturday. First year they're letting in 73-87, and I want to be there. Was gonna go on Friday, but couldn't get the whole day off. Oh well. As said it will give me time to prepare.

Eddyville Raceway Park in Iowa. Best time was 10.35... at 72mph in the eighth. :p

Lastly, I finally got around to putting my T wheels on and cleaned up. They look mighty nice. Coopers are nice and quiet and grippy. I'm keeping the steels, for sittin around/winter wheels.

Thanks. Yeah, it's a neat place. Wish it was closer to DSM though.
