What did you do to your G-Body today? [2011-2018]

Picked up a few spares from my brother this weekend. Another nitrous bottle to attempt to recertify, and the original aftermarket wheels that were on my MCSS when it first hit the road in 2000 - 16" American Racing Outlaw IIs with shot tires - these need a full restoration.

I cleaned it up, fixed the map lights in the rear view mirror and went for a cruise. Here is a picture of what the windshield look like sitting flush with the body and push up as high it would do to lessen the gap top and sides.

Thanks, there is no trim on the windshield. I'm going to fill in the void with silicon I think but I'm in no hurry so I'll be thinking about over a few beers, Mark tells me that beer really improves the thought pattern...

Nope, it's just installed, if you remember I built the ledge up so the windshield would sit flush.

Well spent the am putting 1 tub in an sealed an painted in the Monty



Removed the spare tire well, kept the trunk lid hinge which had to box in, only about 1/2" in front is in the tub, which is roughly center of tire. Tubs are 16" wide rear by 15" in front, so in theory it should fit a 20" wide tire. It's 18 gauge cold rolled sheeting.

I guess l could have bought tubs but then l'd have to either cut them up for hinge or go pin on trunk lid, but l'm lazy an don't want to be taking lid off an on for fueling up, yes its getting a fuel cell.

drove my car at night for the first time really. i have h4 hella housings with phillips bulbs. if this is truly an upgrade i dont know how anyone drove these cars at night. Im hoping i will see a vast improvement in performance from installing an h4 relay harness or i will be doing a set of bi-xenon retrofits asap.

Haven’t been able to do much, been tied up with work and family. But I managed to get a new front tinted windshield with antenna installed along with the back window. Cleaned up the Qtr glass and prepping chrome trim for paint.
