Snagged the tail lights and window trim off of this bad boy today, took me 3hrs to drive down to where the car was! Car wasn't too bad; but sadly is getting parted out despite being a real vin 9 1987 442. https://cosprings.craigslist.org/pts/d/divide-1987-olds-442-parts-car/6932359990.html Oddly enough the car is getting parted out by the same guy I bought my 403 from! There was some decent claret interior pieces and body panels; but the eng, trans were long gone and by the time I got down there this morning the rear end had already been sold. This could be a decent body for someone with a rotted out car in the midwest. I'd hate see the body and frame get crushed.
I was pretty close to there on my way to Cripple Creek today.

Started sanding on the wheelwells earlier. Only 20 minutes to kill tonight as the kids are leaving for a 5 day camping trip tomorrow with the in laws woohoo....but that means quality and packing time for them. The goal is to get both wells ready for primer by end of week. I picked up some new primer surfacer today, and snagged the last can of Euro jet satin trim black from the autobody store.

My nose was drooping on one side. I took out the grille and found that there was a steel reinforcing strip riveted to the underside of the urethane cover. Several rivets had rusted away. The rivets were bigger than anything I had so I used some 1/4"-20 pan head license plate screws to secure it. Now it sits correctly. Cost: a couple of hours time and $0

Ummm... And the downpipe is going where?

Going down behind fans and out the drivers side lower fender or making a large C back out under the passenger side lower fender
