What did you do to your G-Body today? [2019]

This is something I need to do (from Sanden compressor to gbody lines)......What local parts store set you up?
The bigger NAPA stores can do it. I had mine done at a mom and pop parts store, since the NAPA I went to did not have any of the correct sized compression collars in stock.

Yes, the larger NAPA stored can crimp AC lines.

When I installed a Vintage Air system, I had a local radiator shop that also services AC crimp mine. All the lines were custom made to make the system fit the way I wanted.

Cam swap in the LS. Back to the BTR Stage 2 turbo. Looking forward to idle at 650rpm and having vacuum. 👍

If I was my wife I'd say I told you so. But, I am not my wife.

Well, I F'n fought with the trans dipstick and managed to get it installed and bolted up, but IT WILL NOT CLEAR THE FIREWALL/PASS CYLINDER HEAD!!!! I think this is due to the 1" setback plates. Sooooo, now I get to spend more money on a flexible dipstick(any recommendations), and touch up the firewall where this one scratched the sh*t out of the paint! I had to throw in the towel at 2am, so the trans and engine are just hanging out right now.View attachment 111928

I know mine needed some tweaking too, and it definitely contacted some stuff on the way in. But, judging by your engine setback that is more aggressive than my wagon which has Car Shop Inc plates. Your head is almost touching the firewall.

Why not switch to adjustable mounts and set it where you need it?

Lol, had to try it. When it's only 2 hours to swap a cam and I had to drain the water out of the cooling system anyway.....

Would be a great cam for something with a Holley high Ram and wanting to make NA power to 7k rpm.

Saw that I had a delivery from FedEx so I took a pitstop. What could it be???? A box that looked like it got dropped a few times, but the contents are good.
The headers came in, and I'm really impressed with the quality and fit. The pass side might need a small ding by the frame just to make me feel better. The driver side fits good too, but the #1 pipe is hitting the lower A arm mount. For $270, I'll consider it a win...that's until I test out the spark plugs, but gotta get the kids so I'll report back later.

The original Rally wheels for my 83Monte SS have been stored in American Racing Wheels boxes for many years. Not sure what AR style used to grace my SS as it has Weld's on it now and when I bought the car. I may try to track the AR model number later. I have been planning on putting the Rally's on the SS for a few months and pulled one out of the box to see how much work I would be looking at to get them presentable. I am impressed with the one I opened. It is in such good shape I don't think I'm going to do anything other than clean and polish them real good. There is a small amount of rust where the center part and the outer part are welded together. Barely noticeable.

One pic is straight out of the box and the other similar pic is a Windex shine. I would probably mess them up more trying to dig rust out of that tight space. Interestingly, these wheels were made in Canada in 1983. I was slightly disappointed the center caps aren't "SS".EDIT:I searched for the AR wheel type but didn't get any hits. Even the AR website didn't recognize the PN, 226-5761-rc. Anyone have a source that could look it up.

I had to hammer the primary by the upper control arm and well as by the lower control arm mount on mine
