Nothing. I am on vacation in Winnipeg (if that makes any sense). Please send help in the form of updates on your projects.

Went & visited the body at the in-laws after watering their horse. Took another assement of things, looks like at this time I'll need just the main floor of the trunk as the drivers side over the frame is officaly toast, both body mount rails for the trunk, drivers front floor, the lower rear floor crossmember, but spray to get rid of the biting black ants hiding in the trunk. Grabbed the spare tilt column, wire harness's, A/C parts that was in the trunk. Next is to come up with the plan to transport it to the house, either toss it on a trailer or strap it down to the old frame & dingy tow it all up.

Took the valve covers off painted the intake where I sanded the paint off cleaned the block for the intake and the intake almost finished grinding my Edelbrock plugs for the crossovers and then I will prep and use the extreme heat jb weld cure it and sand it flat. Cleaning the valve covers and mating surfaces now found it interesting my passenger head has #5 cast on the outside and # 6 cast on the inside where drivers has #5 in both locations.

Took a look at all my valve train pieces and they all look good to my inexperienced eye think I’m gonna have to use thread locker all over the place found a bunch of bolts that have vibrated loose over time [emoji58]

Most of my push rods seem to have fairly good preload though a few are too tight it seems I think though from what I can tell my rockers are non adjustable so too bad on that account I guess.

My intake coolant was definitely leaking as was the back end seal so hopefully the metal felpro gasket and rtv ultra black around the water ports and exhaust crossover ports will help. Should I lightly rtv around the intake ports to ensure no leaks or leave it be? Also should I rtv on the head side or valve cover side with my rubber gasket?

New water pump looks to be the correct length with a much larger impeller than the one that came off I prepared the timing cover for that as well.

Can’t wait to get this done I start my new job on Tuesday and need this for a DD hopefully I’m a fairly good Allstate sales man so I can spend more money on my shop assistant, wife, and cutlass.

Wife and daughter also got me new 6x9s to accompany my 6.5 components when I have time to install it all as well as all my new gaskets etc. for Father’s Day definitely happy with that although I could do without this Florida rain showing up whenever it wants.

Those taillights aren't worth much...I'll pay shipping and take them off your hands 😏.

Lol I feel like they’re definitely worth more than shipping based on the sneaky face and the fact I searched all over to compare them to another set to try and figure out market pricing and could only find 2 sets listed anywhere in way worse shape so I feel like they’re worth a good amount and my dad is sure hoping they are lol

Wellllllll lol. I've seen mint condition sets go for $300+. The hard part is finding the right buyer. Shouldn't be hard to get $125+ for them.

Damn my dad was hoping for 375 and these are pretty much mint condition for sure crazy shiny too

Yea my dad was hoping to fully restore the Calais before his disease and the budget ruined it so I’m doing more of a resto mod plus he need the money
Back he sunk into the tails unfortunately so I have to get them sold for him. Thanks for giving me an idea of price on them and I know it would definitely take a super special buyer for them
