I changed the distributor, I was using the MSD 85551 locked cause the MSD 6AL 2 controls the timing and vaccum advance. The 85551 has no lead for the tack and the MSD box is rpm is wired to the Fast efi. I installed one of my E curve distributors that was already wired to the box and E curve has a wire for a tach so it''s nice to see the tack working. I like the E curve cause if the box ever fails I can change 2 wires, turn the timing curve dials from 0-0 to 1-4, attach the vacuum advance and I'm on the road again. I change the cover above the pedals and had to cut it for the 3rd pedal. I also changed the glove box and I was going to change the lock but I though I would try my key and it worked, was that just a fluke or are all boxes opened with any G body key?...
🤔
now for the interesting part, I had not driven the GP at nite this year for any extended time. On my way home the GP died at a light. I got it started but it died again a little ways down the road. The battery was down to 11.4 volts so that told me why the car would not start. I got out my boost but it still would not start. Strange thing is when I out the lights on that would turn the ignition on and the Fast ecu was on. I turned the lights off and the GP fired up and everything was working ok, cept the alternator. The alternator could not keep up and as soon as I pulled into my parking spot the GP died again, the fan has kicked on and that pulled too much power. I'm physic but in the what did you buy I'll be posting I bought an AD244 to replace my tired CS144...
