And in with the new:

I got it started and it runs fairly well, although it is a little lean at idle. I'm not sure if I got all the vacuum hookups correct, as this thing has more vacuum ports than I have friends and there isn't a good port diagram anywhere for this thing.

I also installed a more DOT friendly set of headlights for the somewhat focused low beams. The high beams (right) will be replaced with another set of these if they prove out good. View attachment 153279
I am looking into these again for the Blazer to replace what it came with, I talked with The Retrofit Source and they say that they will have a 3.0 version coming out in the next few weeks. I was saying I would like a DRL in the setup as well, I had been looking at these on Ebay since they have the DRL and even a turnsignal built into them. The other one's I had been kicking around were like this

She's dead Jim. It turns out that it was 2 quarts low on fluid, and after adding the fluid in there was no change. I have a Turbo 350 in the corner of the garage that may go in after the broken kickdown cable is replaced. Not ideal, but it is prime driving season and it would suck to leave it parked.

I would rather go ahead and put a 200-4r in, but those are proving hard to find around here. The nearest one I can get with a warranty is 3.5 hours away. Choices choices.

I’ve hit the spots on the upper left hand side with everything except a sand blaster and it still looks like this

I might have to make a spot blaster later. Although I really don’t want to start blasting again- I’m still finding sand in places I didn’t think it could reach.
It could be worst, cutting it out...oh, wait you will be helping to do that on a Saturday in the near future. 😛
