Took it to "local" track, 1/8 mile. Immediately ran half second faster than my best time with the old engine 1100 converter and 2.41s. its not that impressive but my best run was the 3rd and final at 9.5 @75 mph. converter is super tight at barely 2k, and my 60 foot is *ss at 2.18 at best. best reaction time was .2294 on the 3rd run.

Ill put in a good plug for some fabbing videos. "Fitzee's" garage on youtube has some remarkable work being accomplished. Once ya get past the strong Newfanese accent, ya won't be able to give his vids the fick bye...
That was a cultural experience. I never heard a “Newfie” accent before. North of Maine and N’hampshah, ayah.

When I worked up there, I had the impression that every single person in northern New England knew how to weld and how to fix anything.

I re-curved Elsie’s HEI this afternoon with an MSD #8428 Weight and Spring Kit. Set it up with the medium spring to start the Centrifugal advance at 1000 rpm with 8 degrees. Unfortunately, the skies opened up with a deluge so I haven’t had a chance to road test yet. I might need to back the initial timing down from 12 degrees to 10 or 8 if I hear any pinging or knocking under acceleration. Keeping ahold of those minuscule E-Clips is no easy feat. I did have to chase one down. Luckily, it dropped safely between the engine and radiator shroud to the driveway.

Started to get into the "new" HVAC box to see what I need to do to it. Found the top panel was siliconed on so that all needs cleaned off. Saw the floor door actuator has a broken nipple for the red vac line so that might be a creative repair if I don't find a replacement. Everything else so far looks good with no signs of rodents, all vac lines & wires are in great shape.

Surprise find in the garage, the actuator needed on a busted up section of a HVAC box. Tested & installed.

Okay, there is no "random BS thread" on this forum, and I don't want to make an entire thread for this help question.

Can anyone help me compile a list of necessary a/c components forward of the HVAC case.

I have the case, but everything else forward of that had been removed from the car before I bought it.

I need lines, dryer, compressor, compressor bracket but what else is there that I'm overlooking?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks.

Is there any pressure sensors or anything like that?
