Okay, there is no "random BS thread" on this forum, and I don't want to make an entire thread for this help question.

Can anyone help me compile a list of necessary a/c components forward of the HVAC case.

I have the case, but everything else forward of that had been removed from the car before I bought it.

I need lines, dryer, compressor, compressor bracket but what else is there that I'm overlooking?

Thanks in advance.
I am currently in process of upgrading to AC in my '78 Caballero to a 1979 stock configuration.
Before you begin tracking down the parts, make a decision if you want a serpentine setup, or a stock configuration setup.
If I had known sooner the things that I know now (I've already spent the money on the bigger ticket parts), I would have gone '88-98 style serpentine (easily found at the wrecking yard), and ordered an Fbody condenser for 134a, lines, compressor. Then you also need the accumulator, heater water diverter valve, and various pressure switches and such.

Planning to add the a/c back to the car when I do my LS swap, so I don't need the factory A/C compressor and bracket as I will have to run a different one. But I'm needing to know what parts I need from a donor monte ss. 87 monte SS to be exact, I'm unsure if they ran a serp setup but I doubt it.

I re-curved Elsie’s HEI this afternoon with an MSD #8428 Weight and Spring Kit. Set it up with the medium spring to start the Centrifugal advance at 1000 rpm with 8 degrees. Unfortunately, the skies opened up with a deluge so I haven’t had a chance to road test yet. I might need to back the initial timing down from 12 degrees to 10 or 8 if I hear any pinging or knocking under acceleration. Keeping ahold of those minuscule E-Clips is no easy feat. I did have to chase one down. Luckily, it dropped safely between the engine and radiator shroud to the driveway.
Road tested her today and got the positive results I was hoping for. How often does that happen?

I had access to my press Today so I was able to use my crimper to make my fender to core support braces for the Regal.
I used 3/4" EMT for these.

Not exactly today but the most recent thing I did. Not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but almost too good for my car.

Since we're on a third day of no rain after a 10 day stretch of downpours daily, brought the coupe home (33 miles asphalt, 2 miles of "gravel" road which is read: couple rocks and a lot of dirt) from work after getting the carb to function properly.

On the way home, on a nice flat stretch of 2-lane, Idecided to give it a little test for full-range throttle. Rolled in pretty easy, stayed on it through the 1-2 shift, which barked the tires nicely. Didn't get too wild because a guy in an f150 had been following pretty closely. At the next stop sign, he rolled up next to me and told me his dad used to have one when he was a kid, and I had taken him back to that time.Said it sounded great and looked like it ran pretty good. I thanked him and we went on. Made it home with no drama, so maybe this thing is finally close to what I wanted it to be. Time will tell. Kinda want to get started on the wagon, but hate to take it apart until all the ducks are lined up

Adjusted the fan belts, they are still new and stretching a little bit. Might need to adjust them one more time if they stretch any more.
After that I got to work on my Pinto project again.
