Being that it’s the first time we get snowed in, I wanted
to take the Cutlass out for a spin and to get some videos and pics.
It was a fail….
Got stuck immediately after getting off the driveway. I was told we don’t normally get snow like this in this area. I don’t have a shovel..
It was fun though.

And your Cutlass doesn't have snow tires with the correct tread to deal with snow and neither do your neighbours or any of the "I just have to go or be somewhere even though it is snowing and we are being warned to stay home, but I am self-important so that warning doesn't apply to me", residents out tooling around.

Just me thinking aloud here but if your Cutlass is as pretty as the pictures seem to say, then put her under a cover and find a beater for the street. There are no end of morons who will try to drive in snow like the pavement is dry and the temp is 80 above. They will cheerfully slide through an intersection and T-Bone your precious ride and then try to blame the accident on you just because you had the right of way and they couldn't stop so somehow it is all your fault for being alive. Meh.

Oh, yeah, Q., for the LS gurus. When I pulled the old truck intake on my 5.3 I found marking in the aluminum where the gasket had sat. Nothing deep or wide, just a narrow track that doesn't even catch a finger nail; almost more like a discoloration in the metal than any kind of etching or erosion. Just wondering what might work to buff this out without taking any metal away?? Thinking either a Dremel buffing wheel or maybe a Scotch Brite Pad possibly Red??

Thoughts and suggestions??

Valiant effort, Sir. You got gumption. Come North and we'll learn ya on what we would call that snowfall "just another Tuesday".

Not all driving schools are created equal.

Back in the U.P. you wouldn't even get a 2 hour school delay for that. Out here they'd probably close the bases for the whole day.

Didn’t think I needed to be that specific. I definitely wasn’t going on any main roads. Just wanted to hit the Cul-de-sac for some pics.
As for putting a cover on it and parking it… that’s not gonna happen I am building this car to daily it and enjoy everyday. While do worry about the morons of the world I just try to be extra vigilant to those around me. I guess it’s just a risk I’m willing to take for my happiness.

Granted I don’t haven’t got hit like you guys do but I was fortunate enough to learn at a young with my dad being an over the road driver. We got stuck in a few blizzards in upstate NY. I’m mostly used to the Miami floods and hurricanes.

Dec of 2017 here in Florida we had this amount and they shut the panhandle down...absolute destruction.
