My 350 Vortec has over 270,000 miles, it's been good to me.

I got my B&M swapped out for an MGW in the Camaro, much tighter feeling in the garage. Hopefully it fixes my missed 2-3 shifts. Not sure how long for this world my boot is though.

Granpop's old Murray has served me well. She started acting funny once hot a few weeks ago. The most obvious culprit was the pinched, spongy fuel line, so I did that first. Turned out to be no bueno after jumpstarting with the Pig- crank no fire. Tore it down, and now I'm on the hunt for a stator and wire/coil pack. I'm too embarrassed to have even taken before pics, but everything was brown.

So the dually blew the rear main out clear into the flywheel. Prior it would puke oil smoke out the exhaust and the main would dump oil under the truck on the exhaust too. Any time boost or RPMs were up there the truck would stink to hell and back and guzzle oil. I vented the crank better as a proof of concept and it worked, so I further refined it by routing the fumes into the intake. To do this I used a silicone port.

See that pretty AN fitting? Its corresponding 90 degree hose fitting ended up being too small, so today I grabbed some crap from Lowe's to make it play nice.

That's more fitting the theme of this truck. And the ghetto *ss port I mounted it to. The finished product is still cleaner than what it replaces.

Next step is to summon the motivation to remove lower intake, weld a bung to the oil filler neck, and permanently install that way. So looking like next winter because the truck works and it's race/camp season. I also changed the oil and cut open the filter since running it dry twice and found nothing more than a flake here and there, not sure how concerned I should be as I've got some hauling miles on it since the new rear main went in.

Got the pool up and running, shocked it for three days to ensure its sanitized. Still need to add more Borox and Calcium increaser. Stupid solar panels developed another week and waiting for replacement O rings.

I 3800 swapped the hydraulic motor test stand on campus today.

Needed a hall effect sensor to trigger the instrumentation logging system.

I dug through my parts bin at home and found a random 3800 crank sensor and plug. Brought it in, wired it up, and bolted it on.

And it worked!

Blasted and painted the flywheel off the Murray. Got stuff loaded in the Amazon cart to pull the trigger tomorrow morning: stator, mag, plugs, air and fuel filters. Almost ordered an oil filter, then did some checking and found out there isn't one. Grrrrr. I hope the stator is right. There are about 6 different listed, and of course, seller pics may not represent the actual item. I'm about 80% sure I got the part number right; can't find it on the part itself.

One of the last steps to getting the drain tile project done on the house-

Steps!

I have it drawn out and the wood bought, had to do some guess and check work but I think it's a go now
