Of the 5 races so far this year there have been 3 wrecks. 2021 is taking names.

That, the talent pool is lacking, or you have a s4dist in charge of course layout.

So today was car wash day as forecasted. Thought it might rain and help me along but no joy. Took a half a bottle of Simple Green, a well used soft nylon bristle parts brush, and 12 bucks to get the van where it looks almost clean. The crop of nicks and chips seems to be multiplying nicely. Used the brush and Simple Green right out of the pump bottle to get into the cracks and crevices to dig out that tree crud. Props to S-G, it did the job on the first pass with very little hard scrubbing. Took my two-step with me to the car wash and used it to get high enough to use a manual wash brush to do the root and finished it off with power scrub and rinse. Still need to clean the windows from the inside and wipe down a few bits.

I've heard about the copper nail drill but the one time I did see it used, the tree in question just kept a growing. it finally did get cut down and turned into lengths and the nails were revealed, just about the same as when they were pounded in.

Did get the rear end de-mummified and have to say that the results were something of a mixed bag. Still had/have to do a lot of wire wheel and flap wheel sander work to finish the delousing portion of the program. After that i may have to slide it back under the car as a storage measure 'cause the S-10 is sore need of some pipe work to fix and ongoing leak at one of the connections. Also time for Grease and Oil/Filter change and a couple of upgrades. Would like to revisit some of the older body work as winters have a way of coming back to haunt you.

Oh yeah, wuz in the local CTC store close by this AM and Tim Hortons was on by the can, think what used to be called a #10 tin. Didn't catch the price, not a coffee snob per se and anyway the primary reason for my impromptu visit was to restock my supply of Simple Green and Goo Gone.

We're having trouble with a 2014 Silverado 2500 HD at work. 6.0. The GM replacement pumps are pulling 16 amps out of the box. They're burning up the fuse box. I guess blame Covid?
My 2011 Silverado melted the fuse box. I never found the source. There must be a problem with these because there’s never one to be found at junkyard. Mines a 5.3

I've had to have the fuse box replaced on a few of our trucks. We have 11 Silverado 2500's in the company ranging from 2014-2016. I think this is the third fuse box we've had replaced.

We have a really good technician at a little shop near our office that does all the maintenance and repairs on our trucks. He called AC Delco and they said the pumps shouldn't pull more than 10 amps. He tested four new ones out of the boxes from the dealer and they all pulled 16 amps. The one in the truck, which was replaced a few years ago is pulling 16 amps as well. When he runs the truck, he can see the contacts on the circuit board ("fuse box") getting hot with his infrared camera. It's a lousy design. Ford has had similar problems and did a relocation kit to move the fuel pump fuse. Still, the pumps seem to be out of spec, pulling 16 amps.

Mine is rated at 13A, never measured it though. It's never popped the 15A fuse under the hood.
They don't pop the fuse. They burn up the contacts. Not saying this is your problem but wanted to mention there seems to be a quality issue with pumps out there.
