I think you've got twice as many loose parts strewn on/under the table as I've got in the yukon's entire engine bay
All the basic engine & trans maintenance on the Caprice this summer is completed.
Oil change recently was done, has been running good like a loyal 305 lmao 😌💪
(If this was the other car, trust me it would be getting some synthetic Pennzoil with ZDDP or T4 Rotella too since the other engine is flat tappet)

Glad to see you haven't resorted to the Universal Fix It Tool (aka BFH).
I though fire.. err sorry a "thermal event" was usually the best a fixing things.
Quackker State? Even an 88 deserves a better quality of dino oil than Q-glue. At least sweeten up the stuff with some ZDDP additive in a bottle. Think Comp Cams offers something along that line.

I was starting to feel it after busting open my 2nd transmission to steal parts from for the first, but after seeing your update I think I feel pretty good now.
Damn you all are diving into some good stuff haha. I keep a bucket and few boxes of spare T56 parts, from how many of them I've been into over the years.
Buddy of mine has a wrecked C5 Coupe he's about to strip and get rid of. He had the license plate molding that my C5Z06 is missing. I'll get that from him and clean it up, install it. Way more complicated from what you all are doing..🤣

I did loose it at one point and smashed the top of the front bumper with a 2" wrench lol I'll fix that too
