What did you do to your non-G body project today? [2022]

my list of non g projects is ever growing. 03 Safari tried to burn itself to the ground with a wiring short so its been in detention for months while I decide if its worth a harness and maybe pcm. "wall-e" The 03 4x4 dually, 7.3 powered beast with an 8 foot box is rotting away before my eyes but runs like a champ but you cant weld patch panels to nothing. Then tried to move the Freightliner on Monday and both primary and secondary air tanks have pins holes in them so it wont build anything over 10 psi ( not enough to release the brakes ). So I started there. After a price of $600 for some used tanks I figured wire and gas is cheaper. Some days I feel like taking transit !

Need some help from you trailblazer/envoy guys. I haven't had working climate control in my 06 LT for prolly 3 weeks now. Was on my way to work when the whole system just shut down. Been working 60-65hrs/week driving so its been tough working on it. I've been troubleshooting like crazy and still haven't found a solution. The climate control has power, but nothing on the digital display. So far I've done the following to no avail. If anyone has any ideas I'd greatly appreciate it. The list:
Checked all fuses and relays, swapped relays just to be sure.
Checked power to control unit with ign off and on and all is fine.
Swapped control unit from junkyard just to check...no bueno.
Swapped spare blower motor resistor and blower motor....no bueno.
Changed thermostat today because had a CEL for it. That fixed coolant issue but not heat.
Checked ambient temp sensor...no bueno.
Had battery out today while doing thermostat, reset everything and no bueno.
Bought and installed new climate control unit just to be sure, returned because it didn't fix issue.

I have looked and looked and looked on the web for an answer and haven't had any luck yet. This is what it looks like when driving....View attachment 192114

Thanks in advance guys, truly appreciate any help.

I am not much help. My 04 Rainier and my MIL's 06 both have that 'deluxe' thermostat style system you have.

Mine has eaten a few blend doors and the MIL's melted the plug where the power goes into the blower fan but the displays haven't exhibited the same problems you have.

Do you have rear seat HVAC? Does that work?

Well ya, at the hockey game.

Well then what's better? He left the part out about the sun sucking. No matter how cold, you can always put on a jacket. Can only get so naked before the sun nukes your skin and someone calls the cops.

I am originally from upstate NY, our beer in the winter was found stuck in the snowbank outside of the garage door.

And how awesome was that? I grew up in the UP of MI, I really miss those winters, but having been away for so long my perspective has changed, so I always wonder if I'd still like it if I went back. The winters here on CO are pretty damned easy.

I mentioned it, you stay inside or you are at the beach under the umbrella checking out the scenery. By May I have a pretty nice tan that lasts.

As a kid I loved to sled, and as a big kid I loved my motorized sled. Like I said I'm torn between the 2. I've found sunlight to be a contributing factor to motivation too, but damn do I hate the 100 degree heat.

Heat doesn't kill me too badly, I was good until about mid-high 90s and 80% humidity but relentless sun is a moral killer. lol

I am from this area. If its gonna be cold you should have pretty spaces and stuff to shoot at. I miss being a hillbilly.

My daily driver has been down since last Saturday. When I ordered the parts Sunday they said 2 days Thursday night they still hadn't come in. I'm really tired of driving the shop truck/dumpster Chevy uplander. And between work and my hobby cars I'm really tired of back ordered parts.

My F150 fell victim to the common frozen door latch problem. The door latches on the suicide doors froze and the cables popped off from me tugging on the handles. So I had to open up the door panels and reattach the cables to the handles. Easy fix.

Also my tonneau finally showed up. Got it installed. This one is a tri-fold. I like it a lot more than the roll up that I had before. It completely installs and removes in a couple minutes with no tools, the tarp is nice and taut and it doesn't let it a ton of water like the last one.
