It was alight. I didn't love it. But the good car shows are the ones that show real cost and real fixes. I can't stand the notion of buying, restoring and flipping for 100%profit in a 3 week time span.

Anyone remember the show trucks back in the early 2000's on Spike? Or American hot rod with Boyd cottington?
I starting to think that was the peak of real car show. Spike really don't cover the car hobby like they did back then. Fox got greedy & took cars out of Speed so they could have yet another sports channel with nothing on (I miss the WRC, vintage racing shows, & the Australian car races.) History used to show features on history of a specific model in the '90's. As soon as a show comes on going over the tech & cost, they get reformated to have skits, jokes, non car events, & show a POS that was buit to a show piece without showing a single wrench spinning.

To tell you the truth, I think many of the car shows really suck. Some weren't that bad, but got progressively worse. Even shows like Overhaulin' are not like they used to be.
At least Wheeler Dealers was more of an honest show, if you will.
I used to like to watch shows that were informative, like Stacy David's Gearz.
West Coast Customs caters to the uber rich celebrity bling crowd. Counting Cars is too childish at times. We don't want to see guys squabbling...besides, some of the cars that come out of his shop are absolutely gaudy.
Bitchin' Rides can be interesting sometimes. He's got some talented guys working for him. Graveyard Cars turns out nice original Mopar restorations, but the guy is a clown and likes to ham it up for the camera.
Chasing Classic Cars is an interesting show. I like seeing some of the cars he finds in his travels.
I used to like American Hot Rod, but again that had become like any other reality show on TV.

I would go one further, most of tv sucks. I'm on my 3rd season of McHales Navy and 12 O'clock High online and the shows of that era beat out any of the high production cost series of today....

I like Stacey David but lately his show is pretty bad.

Just a bad bad infomercial with ridiculously priced builds

That never get finished then boom they are done.

So many of the shows start out well, and with good intentions, but commercialism kills 'em in the end. Oh well...

Anyone remember pinks!!

Pinks (the original not all out) is where a lot of the ideas for "fake drama" drag races in reality TV come from. It's like Discovery Studios puts on a few hours of "Pinks for its Interns and says "THIS! is what these schlubs like! When you run out of ideas recreate THIS!"

Maybe I'm crazy but you put Ed and Aaron Kauffman on a show together you would really have something.

I enjoyed Wheeler Dealer mostly because of Ed. It shows what kind of person he is that he is not willing to sacrifice his credibility for the sake of corporate TV.

I worked in a restoration shop for a few years. On average most cars took at least a year to restore properly. All these shows that spit cars out in two or three weeks makes me question the build quality. There is actually no " reality" in reality tv.
