OK this may seem like a silly question but I just wanna be certain. I'm attempting to remove the black plastic strip off my front bumper ( 78 cutlass ). Everything's removed accept for these shown in pic.
So are these clips meant to be replaced after you pry them open or do I gotta be gentle...
Before I attempt to restore the ones I already have I figured I'd ask here first;
Car is 78 Cutlass.
I'm looking for the green bolts that hold the radiator top plate and 2 core support brackets on. Also need the larger blue ones that hold the fender braces and hood latch.
I'm looking for...
Well it turns out my neighbor/coworker who lives right down the street from me has a dyno so I'm going to get the answer to the question everyone has pondered for decades; how much horsepower will a stock 260 make with pellet style converter vs a modern converter. I'm going to do a before and...
I located a 78 Regal turbo via Google search. Pictured is what showed up. Notice a price is listed. When you click the link it takes you to a website that shows pics and has info on the car but no price shown anywhere. More curious is there's absolutely no contact info listed anywhere. So...
I'm in need of a power seat coupler ( don't know its official name ) as shown in pic. This is for my 85 442. Are there any differences in these coupler's over the years or are they the same from 78-88?
Really pisses me off I finally decide to go with the BMR 1.5" drop lowering springs and see they only come in red. F that, I want black dammit!!
See alot of other aftermarket suspension parts with goofy colors like blue, red, and yellow. That's fine for those who want that but always offer...
I'm considering putting some lowering springs in my otherwise bone stock 78 Cutlass. Looking for something around an inch lowered from it's current state.
Problem I'm having is choosing the right springs because the car is so light up front ( aluminum hood, no AC, 260 Olds engine ) I'm...
Was wondering what people's thoughts are on the subject of keeping a car ( Gbodys ) stock or modifying them.
I've got my super low mileage 78 with 5 speed. Its bone stock. It's cool to drive because it's a stick, looks really nice, and it gets alot of looks. I'm fine with the fact it's not...
We all know the Olds 350 diesel was a major dud. Poor reliability and zero power. So I got to thinking, is it not possible to build a high horsepower Olds diesel? I'm not referring to using a diesel block for a gas build ( I got one of those ) but keeping it an actual diesel. All of the...
I'm on the understanding that only 78 model years had the 'straight' style rear swaybars? Are these inferior to the later 'normal' rear swaybars? Was that why they were changed?
My 78 Calais comes standard with the better suspension ( whatever they called it in 78 ), but my straight style...
Will Eibach lowering springs ( 1" drop ) drop the front end a lesser amount ( or at all... ) if you have a light ( no AC, aluminum hood ) front end? I assume the spring rates are speced for cars with heavier front ends which is why I'm asking.

Say you have 26" tall tires all around and your car is aligned. you then replace them tires with 27" tall tires all around. Would this effect alignment?
What if you kept 26" tall up front and installed 27" tall tires only in the rear?
What if you're an idiot and put 27" tall on driver's side...
Just got back from a week in California ( West Hollywood to be exact ) where my girlfriend lives. My God, how do you guys live there?! Seriously?
Parking is atrocious. Traffic is a joke. Prices are ridiculous. Trying to do anything is a major chore. I'm SOOO glad to be back home in rural...
