Beautiful car! Congrats on the find.

I see it's got the 2:73 gears. Generally speaking what gear sets did these come with in that era?

I was watching a Doug Demuro video today and he was getting all horny over an E30 BMW M3, you know the "quintessential driver's car". And I got to thinking? How does it compare to the "best" American four-seater sports car of the day? You know, the Camaro IROC-Z or Z28. So I did some digging.

Big, girthy, torquey, American machine which actually fits people in the back seat, pulls about .84 G on the skid pad.

Smaller, 500+lbs lighter, same wheel base, handles worse at .81 G on the skid pad. Huh.

Me thinks there is some misplaced bias here.

How do they enforce that? The non-maritime dudes.

RCMP running check points on the highways and in public (looking for out of Province plates). Same way we are slamming Americans for f*cking around on their way to Alaska in BC. Those fines and deportation risks are real.

too bad the person who ordered the car didn't go with the stick. The 1992 T5 WC had a different gear set and other upgrades in them that make them a very desirable T5....and very rare

It was ordered by a 40 year old woman (her name was Rita Leduc and there is a custom engraved name plate on the centre console displaying her name) and I don't think she was the type. My '91 Z28 had that WC T5, it was a pretty nice piece even with the 3.08 rear. All that got sold off when I parted the car out in 2009 to make ends meet.

Gawdayum. I wonder about US military folks PCSing from CONUS to AK or vice versa? I know those moves are locked down, but there are waivers in place too.
