Do you have adjustable viking fronts? Curious the settings your at if you don't mind sharing.
I have double adjustable QA1 coilovers in the front. Current settings are recommended from QA1 for drag racing (I don't recall off the top of my head).

Been driving the car a bit-

And pretty sure my 2 & 3 syncro/blocker rings are worn.

I had the issue where the clutch I had in the car warped because I was at a power level that exceeded the rating and it was worn, and the car wouldn't go into gear last summer. Put the new clutch in and it was fine, but after 500 miles and a few hard passes the car wouldn't go into 2nd gear under full power last fall at DW. The clutch was dragging a bit due to me not checking the TOB stroke and it was limited out. I think those two times where I had to really beat on it to get into gear to get home, plus the fact that it's an unknown mile used trans means it's time to refresh.

I am skeptical it will go into gear under full power now reliably/smoothly with how it's behaving on normal street driving.

So that's another thing to add to the to-do list.

It's a 97 trans

So nope. Zero chance.

Never been opened either then. It's a good excuse to check your endplay, add billet keys, and brass shift fork pads. Tick even makes billet forks too.

Beefing it up will be a fun project. A Magnum would be awesome, except for paying for it.

Noticed some funny feathering on the outside of my front tires and realized I never swapped front LCA bushings. Only part that hasn't been replaced and I accidentally ordered 2 kits when I did my cutlass so might as well get crackin' since I need to pull the shocks out anyway to swap.

Yeah they were bad

And bam. I skipped the whole swapping bushings thing because it sucks and it's cave man stuff. Hammer, chisel, anger & a vise.

But it's got new shocks and bushings. Woo.

Blasted the rear end apart tonight to swap to the 4.30's. Stole the rear pinion bearing out of a spare set of 3.42's with the intent to grind the ID out and found out the 99+ 8.6 bearing cone angle is different than the 98- cone angle so I can't salvage that used bearing for setup.

Look at my bare rear end

Hopefully I can scrounge up a set up bearing quick cheap locally and install. I need to rig up a pinion depth gauge also.

Swapping gears in-car. You're a wild man. I did it (unsuccessfully) in my truck in the driveway about 10 years ago. I don't think I'll try that again unless if I have a lift.
