Alright guys, as mentioned before my mini vacation started today. The #1 priority was to get the LS short block done. It took me a few hours due to being careful, and running into a couple small issues, but i got it done! I'm pumped to be able to have everything torqued, shimmed, etc.
:banana::wax::banana::wax:

A big shout out to Jared(texas82gp) again for a couple LS specific loaner tools...made things alot easier!!!

Enough jabber, here are a few money shots lol!

Thanks for tuning in, i hope to start getting some heads and valvetrain goodies before long.

Thanks Kevin! I've been planning this day in my head for about a month now. I actually achieved 95% of what i wanted to get done! Slow and steady wins the race, at least i keep telling myself that🙂!

You're making great progress Scott! Keep chipping away at it and before you know it you'll be able to reap the rewards of the time you've put into it! The car will be amazing when complete!

Thanks buddy, that means alot! I just wanna drive my cutlass sooooo bad! I made a personal pact when the resto started to not rush things, it will get done eventually and i can feel comfortable knowing it wasn't a hurried job.

I had some time to tinker around with the LS today...but lacked motivation to get a bunch of other stuff done. I did manage to get the flexplate on, and installed the balancer.
Now I'm waiting on my dad to show up after work with a big torque wrench so i can get the ARP bolt torqued to 875,000 ft/lbs :blam:!!!!
