Not sure. My goal is August. After I patch and clean the floors all I gotta do is paint them and then set the body down. After that my dad will start on the body work and I will be putting it back together. Front and rear suspension is done, all the plumbing will be done before the body goes on. After that its setting the engine and trans in, hooking everything up and putting the interior back in.
That's not to bad I don't think I will have mine out this summer unfortunately.

Im sure there will be 100 different things that happen or go wrong to set me back. Thats how it always goes but so far everything has been pretty straight forward. I really only get to work on it thursday, friday, and saturday night but I make progress everyday. When I took the old one apart I left everything together so it should make assembly easier.

Not much of an update. I got the body fully supported so I can start working on the floors. I already have the front driver's side body mount patched. It was the only rusted out body mount. There's a small hole in the floor under the driver's rear seat right by the seatbelt mount that needs fixed and I gotta do some massaging to the inner wheel wells to fit the rear tires. The old frame was pretty bad looking for how solid the car is. All but 4 body mount holes were rotted out to where the bushing was sitting inside the frame and not on top.

looking good! How much space do you have between the notched frame rails and tire? I did mine but i think i may have not left enough room, can barely fit my fingers in between
I can fit my fingers through pretty easily. The big thing for me is my wheel tubs. The tire since it's not only wide but tall hits the harder bends of the wheel tubs. It's hard to explain but it's nothing I can't fix in a few minutes.

Thats right! I already started on the driver's side and got it pretty close. Im kinda iffy hitting it with the hammer because I can just imagine shattering that back window. You can imagine how puckered I was when the middle 4x4 broke.....

Little updates. Got my brake lines in and tightened down. Went with new braided flex hoses even though the rubber hoses from the 83 are only a year old. I wrapped the hard lines that go around the engine/headers as well as the proportioning block with some insulating tape I had laying around. I know with my old big tube 2455 Hooker headers they were too close to the proportioning block so I had to move it back on the frame an inch or two. Hoping the 2241 slip tubes aren't as close.

My body bushings came in. Went the poly route instead of re-using the aluminum solid mounts in the 83. Didn't feel like lifting the body off that one in the freezing cold for the mounts. Im lazy. One thing I noticed with these is that I think they sent me extra. I have like 2 complete bushings that I won't be using and I even have the bushing in the front of the trunk by the rear tires. The "GN" bushing some people call it. Weird but not a bad thing.

An overall photo of what the madness looks like. Gonna work on the floors all day today so hopefully I can say they are 100% done on my next off day next week.
