A Fabricobbler's Guide to the Turbo Buick Galaxy- Cutlass Rehash

Plugging along!

Think pig mats and ‘just say no’ to kitty litter/Speedi Dry.

Pig mats are so much easier to clean up imho. And cheaper too.

Pig mat?

The aftermarket is good for these. I get them
From International for $30 for a 100. 100 is a lot of fluid clean up. And no kitty litter tracked through the property - and CHEAPER

Thank you. I need these for the storage. If the Roadmaster sits too long, the converter bleeds down and the 700-R4 weeps a little. Those look ideal.

Got a good amount done tonight.

Exhaust is in, dipstick, converter and bellhousing hardware, intercooler, throttle cable and battery & cables done.

Still need to wire the fuel pump and flush the fuel system, finish the wiring in the car, ECM, under dash wiring, tach, VSS, brake signal and fill the rad with water.

Then it's test drive time!

We skipped March and April, looks like the weather is going straight from early March to June here this year, so it's time to get crackin'

Have I ever complained about panel fitment?

The front of the car got wrecked when someone side swiped me 12 years ago and Dad hit a deer 2 weeks later so the front end of the car is made from like 3 different parts cars and had always fit like crap.

I then painted it 3 months after the deer and I had little experience or patience to align so it's time to fix my past errors.

I went to bolt everything back together tonight and reminded myself how bad it really was and I couldn't live with myself so naturally the evening went to slightly bending stuff back straight and shimming stuff.

Panel gapping sucks... But I'm making improvements.

The fender used to not align parallel to the header panel and it does now so that's a win.

Nose fits better than it has in the last dozen years so happy there.

Fuel pump is wired in, ac hoses are in and got some gauges hooked up.

Need to get the aftercooler shroud in and cycle the fuel system to clean it and under dash wire still. Last 20% takes 80% of the time.
