Are the wires to the pick up coil cracked or broken ?

Good call. i just had to replace a pick up coil on a friends brand new Pro Comp distributor.

I broke down and bought i new distributor today it will be here in the morning. Good news it was only 83 bucks. I got to the chain today it is fine nothing at all is wrong except i am changing it to a double roller this weekend. I bet it was just the pick up coil. I guess I will find out tomorrow morning. Thanks for everyones replies. I will keep you guys posted if it starts.

well i have spark now. Bad news it still doesn't start it almost kicked over but then stopped. I am going back to the timing chain. I am thinking it is just skipping on the chain. Anyone know something else that is preventing it from starting?
?

Quick question is it possible my electronic spark control module is going bad. I have spark but i wonder if it is bad and causing it not to start.

I'd go back and start over with removing #1 plug to make sure your at TDC on the compression stroke, then you can check to make sure the timing mark is on and set the distributor with the rotor pointing to #1 wire...make sure all the plug wires are routed to the right plug and go from there

ok i will give it a shot again and let you know what happens. It wouldn't be the first time i have gotten wires mixed up.

Ok so the update is bad news. I have replaced plugs, rotor, cap, coil, dizzy, esc, and it still doesn't start. everything is new except for wires they are 11 months old. Does anybody have a clue or has had this problem. I have chased wires for days and none of them are bad. I have set the timing atleast six times. This is one of those things that is just pissing me off. Any help will be great

your getting spark I assume....if you check the carb is the accelerator pump giving a good shot of gas...
