Sounds gooooooooood!!

Hows it mooooooove?
I easily spun the tires for a second but haven't got on it too hard yet 😔. Snow just melted and only drove it to the gas station 1 mile away to fill up. Still need to adjust the shift cable. So I believe I need to do that before I drive it any farther.

SNOW?!?!?!?!!?!?:blam:

Think we had about 28 inches of snow last month. Finally started melting away last week. Streets finally got cleared of snow a few days ago. Just need it to rain hard to clean the streets off before I drive it regularly. But I feel like the response is quicker now that the slack is gone from the cable. Once the shift cable is right, be back in the driver seat having fun 😎

Where r u?

So today I put my correct color seats into the car. Made an appointment to get my shift cable either adjusted or replaced. They said it may have gotten stretched somehow when the shifter mounts got welded On? And bought some exhaust tape to quit heat soaking my starter. Also got valve cover gaskets to throw on this week....but the gasket has 10 bolt holes and my olds 403 cover only has 5 bolt holes per side. Will it still work? Just seems odd. And do you guys use the small valve cover strips that spreads the pressure out to reduce any future leaking?

The gaskets will work most Olds heads have 10 holes except the 307 and 403

Thanks. I have a record of being sold the wrong parts when it comes to fixing my car. Figured I would ask before I start doing it

The load spreaders aren't necessary if you take a few minutes to make sure the holes are flat, and don't go-go-gorilla tighten the crap out of them. I usually put a thin coat of RTV in cork gaskets, too.
