The TV cable may need adjustment. Try to get a bracket that has a double adjustment on it.

like this.

I used it when I had a 700r4 in my Malibu worked great.

You need to educate yourself on this instead of tearing off parts and slapping others on. It doesn't work that way (like literally everything else in life).
Pretty sure you told me to take the carb off....and taking it off didn't do anything but add possibly more issues when i go to put it back on. But I listened to you (cuz you know your sh*t).

I suggested removing the carb to check the transfer slot adjustment. This is your baseline setting for your idle speed and mixture. The general rule of thumb is that the slot should look almost square under the throttle blade. Set the idle screw to get the slot square under the blade, and reinstall the carb. Turn the mixture screws all the way in, then back them out 1 1/2- 2 turns. Hook up a vacuum gauge, and start the car. Let warm up to operating temperature, and adjust the mixture screws to achieve the highest vacuum reading, then adjust the idle speed/rpm. NOW, you can hook up the throttle cable, and adjust it so you have full sweep operation from idle to WOT. THEN, adjust the TV cable for the trans. The cable bracket that TURNA showed would probably be the easiest to deal with.
