I cleaned the carb and put it back on the car. Now I'm waiting on the throttle cable bracket to get here. Had to order it from summit. Should get it next week. Haven't messed with the tv cable yet.. Might buy new valve cover gaskets on it while I'm waiting....

Will have to find a better way to mount the throttle cable to the carb too

Worse comes to worse, you could always get a shorter throttle cable.

GBody's have about 5 different ones in different lengths.

What did the transfer slots look like? Did you have to adjust?
I ask because this is pretty much easiest way to screw up carb adjustments. Here's how it happens: slap on a carb, try to adjust idle mixture, try to adjust idle speed, and before you know it, you're into part throttle mixture and idle circuit is worthless. Anyone else that has done this, chime in or at least raise your hand...

Not sure what the transfer slots are....but i didn't see anything that caught my eye to fix it.....just gave it a scrub. Didn't touch the settings on the carb since a mechanic did that when he set the timing at 36 degrees.
