Hahaha. Ya, thanks

I didn't adjust anything, turn anything, move anything. I simply removed the 4 bolts, fuel line, vac lines and both cables. I was very careful not to move anything. I used carb cleaner with a toothbrush and nicely cleaned the outside. And wiped it clean. Everything looked fine. Everything looked like it was in working order. Just waiting on that bracket to make a better adjustment on the throttle cable......maybe tomorrow I will connect the cables to start it up and see what happens

Just because someone else "knowledgeable" messed with it, doesn't mean it's right.....But, if you're completely and blindly entrusted in that (or those) person(S), then no one can convince you otherwise.
I was trying to get you to learn how to adjust your stuff. I like to know what's happening with my car rather than "he said" it's dead-on. At that point, you know nothing more than "his" word.

Your right. When I first got the car I started to mess with the idle/air mix and idle to make it better... Watched YouTube videos to do it. Then I put new front end parts/ belts/ new power&ground wires to and from battery/ new hoses/ thermo/plugs/wires/ vac lines/fuel line w/filter to carb/ all new disty parts and had it timed at the mechanic. (Did everything myself except timing it) I also mentioned getting a bigger carb and he said wait and see how this does with the current adjustment he made. But your right, I took his word even tho he may not know. Car runs good, but I think there is something holding it back. Could be the carb settings or cables. But That's why I did that tune up, trying to get it running the best I can

MERRY CHRISTMAS! Still waiting for that bracket, but I'm searching for a better way to connect that cable to the carb. There's a few types out there that might work....can I see pics of what you guys use?

Nevermind. I think I found the perfect thing to use. A Tire valve. I swear Im not crazy! Some modification is needed but I will post some pics when I put it on.

😐 it works.......its better than what it was 😔.....the part store didn't have anything else that would work...

Step by step 😎. Still waiting on the throttle bracket to be done...but i think this actually work.....that cable barely has enough space to be able to move freely but shouldn't flop around.....im happy with the results....
