While I have to agree many people don't even know what they drive let alone the parts they need. Like the guy who wanted parts for his brig ham. Finally we went to look at the car, it was a 90's chrysler lebaron broughme.
As for the bolded part. I understand they're not asking for this, but what about a car with 4 wheel drum brakes... They made those into the 70's.
I do love that the parts guy corrected my dad when he asked for front wheel cylinders "Sir they're called calipers". No they're not, they're inside a drum, with shoes not pads. Oh and there's 2 per wheel... Then instead of using the #'s my dad gave him he tried to look the parts up for a 1960 Plymouth in the computer!
He got the manager over and looked up the #'s. Unfortunatly they didn't have any... But NAPA did. 8)
